got to NC last week.
group at gardens are super.
learning how to cook healthier; all from scratch.
getting lessons on herbs daily.

good news! my cabin has running water and electricity and a wood stove.
I bought myself a hammock and am snug as a bug in a rug.

I'm bruised. banged head into low doorway; hip into corner of table; and fell out of my cabin once and bruised my arm. Otherwise OK. Japanese gal fared worse when she fell off the vine swing to the forest floor some 12+ feet below. She busted 7 bones in her foot and will now need to go back home in the next day or 2 for operation.

Must go. I'm working on a plan to update this blog regularly throughout this experience with pictures. Where there's a will there's a way.
Hugs to all. Thanks for thinking of me.

quickie travel update:
Took 6 nites and 7 days travel San Diego to north of Seattle.
Used back roads as much as possible.
I have no travel horror stories to report.

Mostly, I wanted to stop at every scenic outlook along Hwy 101 thru Oregon, but resisted the temptation. Wildlife viewing was limited to elk and seagulls.

Will hit the road again thurs Apr 5th. Pictures will have to wait.
Love to all,
Deb
