Out on the Limb

What is it ?

Monday, March 28, 2005

I took a picture of it today so you guys can guess what it is. I will tell you that it is one of my unfinished projects. Because of our plans to hit the road (see post below) I have been eyeing everything in the house and making mental categories. This project will go to the recycling bin.

Beyond it are the branches of the humongous kiwi structure (upper part of picture). Yes, it bears fruit because we have both the male and female plants. The blueberry bush is visible. Behind the blueberries is an old growth cedar stump still showing the scars from the springboards. Lumberjacks used springboards because the trunk was too tough to cut at lower levels.

Beyond our yard is a field (mostly wild blackberries)...a couple miles of National Forest...and then you are into designated Wilderness.

Ladybug, ladybug, fly away home.
