my bloody thumb
Originally uploaded by sand dragon.

Sunday's quest to see our local landslide yielded no results, except to bloody my thumb on a blackberry vine. (won't be the first time; and it won't be the last...)

There are 3 ways left that I can think of to see the slide:

* Gain access to the inner horseshoe where the threatened home are perched. Unless I get invited, or join the sandbag volunteers, this is not a likely option.

* Learn to hang-glide. Interesting idea, but it sounds expensive, nerve-wracking, and not likely to get good photographs.

* Find a trail across the valley from the slide and use my telephoto lens. Yep, that's it.
