Rolling up the sleeves
Sunday, July 31, 2005
My internal coffee-meter tells me it is time to roll up the old shirt sleeves and dig in to today's work. Correction...it is too warm to have shirt sleeves.
Today I will be setting tile in the bathroom. The floor tile was finished long ago (um...last year?). But I never got around to decorating the wall divider by the commode. I'll post a picture at day's end today...I promise. The project will remain unfinished today as well, because I won't be able to grout same day as I set.
Yesterday I took a turpentine sponge bath. I was happily painting the house eave, not really too concerned about blobs of paint on my body, except I wonder about toxicity. Anyway, when I tried to wash my hands, the paint would NOT come off. That's when I realized that my husband had purchased oil based paint. I had paint spots here, there and everywhere. It is a good thing we had turpentine on hand, or I would still be glued to the bed sheets right now.
Back to the tiling topic. If things go well, I hope to get those bumper stickers on the car this afternoon. What am I thinking? I should know by now things don't go according to plan. Well. Let the adventures begin.
